The love of a delicious pastry is strong.
Brewed in collaboration with the legendary Lumos Bakery this decadent beer is inspired by their cult-favourite Brownie Bomb — a croissant-meets-brownie hybrid that’s as indulgent as it sounds.
We started with a classic English Brown Ale style and focussed on promoting bready, pastry-like flavours with the help of freshly baked pastry offcuts courtesy of Lumos Bakery. We then added quality dark chocolate and lactose to the whirlpool vessel, before adding organic cacao nibs post fermentation.
The result: a pastry inspired beer that is full-bodied and smooth, not too sweet, but rich in chocolate brownie flavour while maintaining the drinkability of a traditional English brown ale.
